A 'Poem' about Maddy

Maddy's teachers wrote a poem about her.
Apparently she likes to be in charge of everyone,
not just her sister and parents. :)

Future Drill Sergeant?

Maddy took over the teacher's part of the song at her
end-of-the-year Preschool program. A future leader in
the making.

Maddy's Preschool Program

I got a small part of the program on my camera. (Sorry it's so shaky.) I'm still trying to figure out how to get the rest of the program off of the video camera so hopefully it will be posted soon.

"Green Thumb" skips a generation...

The girls love gardening, especially the 'watering' part. They get their training from Nana and often help Mom with her flowers.

Just Cute

Ummm...Define "4 Man"

The girls have been wanting to go camping for a while now, just so they can sleep in a tent. So, we bought a tent to camp out in the living room. This 4 "man" tent (giant men?) turned out to be a bit larger than we anticipated. (Or is our living room smaller than we thought?) In the end the girls didn't sleep in it, (of course not), but it was a fun 'playhouse' for a few days. We hope to use the tent as it's creator intended it to be used sometime this summer. Any suggestions on where to take 2 preschoolers camping where they won't be bored or try to drown? My vote is for the backyard, but Lee has other ideas...

Fish kite vs Maddy

This kite flying business is hard work and a bit discouraging.

But Maddy is not a quitter.

Go, Maddy, Go!

Yay, Maddy!

Fish Kites

Grandma and Grandpa Nakashima brought the girls Japanese fish kites. Maddy and Grace were determined to get them flying even though there wasn't any wind.

They didn't really understand the concept of kites needing wind and often stopped to see if the kite was flying yet.

Cookies!

The girls love to 'help' in the kitchen...

especially when cookies are involved!
