The 'elevator' that Daddy makes
Maddy calls ski lifts, and the like, 'elevators'. She wanted so badly to ride the 'elevator' Daddy designed for the Texas State Fair but it wasn't running while we were there. (Which I, quite frankly, am thankful for.) So we got as close as we could to the 'elevator' and tried to distract them with the 'swan ride'. It worked for as long as the swan ride lasted.

(What is Grace doing to Dad? She looks like trouble.)
Maddy also wanted to ride the ferris wheel, which also was not running. Thank God. I think she just enjoys watching her mother freak out, (and there was plenty of that on the airplane)!
Trip to Dallas
Even when he's sick, Grandpa has the energy to goof around with the girls.
Thank you for letting us visit, Grandma and Grandpa!

Gracie's 3rd Birthday
Yes, she dressed herself. Pretty cute, huh?
Gracie didn't take her birthday tiara off all day.
Yummy 'Max' cake made by Uncle Josh.
She was a bit unsure about cutting 'Max' but her love for cake got rid of any inhibitions.

Mexico Olympics 2008
The whole family participated in the Mexico Olympics this year to raise money for the mission trip by competing, judging or spectating.

As you can see, Lee is very proud of his silver medal in the Saw-a-rama competition.
Gracie is showcasing Papa's bronze medal in the "If I had a Hammer" competition. You can't see the medal in this picture, but Grace is the one we all want to see anyway, right?
Maddy was upset that she couldn't be in the competition but she got to try out her skills later. Sign her up for the 2018 Amor mission trip, Josh!
