Lee and I took the girls and Peter to the Museum of Ancient Life a couple of weeks ago.
Maddy decided that the sloth behind her must have eaten healthier than Sid the Sloth (Ice Age) because it grew a lot bigger than Sid.
Gracie's not too thrilled with this shark.
Maddy and Peter enjoyed playing in the water/sand tables but Gracie quickly ended up playing a "show game" nearby.
Future paleontologists?
The girls LOVE Peter. They like to 'help' him eat, as long as it's his food and not theirs. 
Maddy's sport this week was baseball. She said it wasn't as fun as soccer but I think part of her problem was that the bats were too heavy.
Gracie and I play at the playground or in the car while Maddy is at Sports Class. 
Of course, Maddy made friends with the only other girl in the class on the very first day. They are such good friends now that EVERYONE must hug before we can leave. She's determined to make me sociable. 
The visit to Gardner Village started out fun and cute. The horse rides are always a favorite.
After the horse rides we fed the ducks but soon discovered that the giant koi were a lot more entertaining to feed. Maddy liked the 'sucking' noise they made when they ate the food.
The next part of our visit happened so quickly and was so traumatic that I didn't get any pictures. (I wouldn't want incriminating evidence anyway.)
While feeding the ducks Gracie decided to remove one of her shoes and hold it in her hand. Why? I know not. With the other hand she grabbed some duck/fish food and promptly threw both food and shoe into the water. She immediately realized what she had done and responded by screaming at the top of her lungs and running from the scene of the crime toward the parking lot. (What else can a shoe lover do when a beloved shoe is lost?) So I am trying to fish the shoe out of the yucky duck water without falling in myself and run after Grace, all with an aghast audience. (I don't like to have an audience, aghast or not!) Thankfully, Grace fell into a heap of sorrow before she reached the parking lot allowing me time to get to her. The walk back to the car seemed like forever as I carried the inconsolable Grace (still thinking her shoe is gone) and the duck water shoe (ew!!!!). Since we all must participate in the chaos, Maddy's part was to trail behind, loudly whining, (again attracting an audience), about having to leave and making sure everyone knows that she 'never gets to do anything'.
It was supposed to be 90 degrees out today. I don't know if it ever made it but it felt like it! 
Maddy and Grace enjoyed a popsicle after a long afternoon of movie watching (Kung Fu Panda). I gave them this popsicle, but Maddy is determined to chase down the ice cream truck she hears around our neighborhood. Her piggy bank is ready and waiting!
Madeline started her "Kid Sport" class. It is a 3 week class and each week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) they learn a new sport. This last week it was soccer. 
I'm no expert but it seems to come pretty natural for her...must be in the blood. She really enjoys playing with other kids and all the running around. Grace and I watch her from the car, in the shade, while we snack. :) Everybody's happy.
Gracie the little gardener helps Nana plant strawberries and looks oh-so-cute doing it.
Maddy and Mommy eat popcorn the whole time. (Mom needs an eating buddy, someone's gotta do it.)

The girls love when it rains now that they have their umbrellas. They ask every day if it's going to rain.
